Wondering about the BRAC San Antonio Construction Program? Randy Holoman with the Corps of Engineers held a presentation at The Burgers and Beer Mixer on June 17, 2009. He provided this information for those members interested in accessing opportunities associated with the BRAC Program.
Pre-requisites
A company must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration Database, CCR, to receive a Government contract award. Companies may register with the CCR at http://www.ccr.gov. Companies also must obtain a Data Universal Numbering System, or DUNS, number, There is no cost to obtain a DUNS number. Companies may request a DUNS number via the Internet, http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform/pages/CCRSearch.jsp, or simply by calling the D&B Government Customer Response Center during week days at 1-866-705-5711. The final prerequisite for accessing opportunities associated with the BRAC Program is to complete an Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). This can be done by going to the website, http://www.bpn.gov, and clicking on "Online Representations and “Certifications Application" on the left side of the screen, It is essential that a firm has completed its CCR registration before beginning the ORCA registration process.
