The ABC - South Texas Apprenticeship Program is designed for non college bound high school graduates, those graduates looking for an alternative to college and entry level construction employees wishing to climb the corporate ladder. Apprenticeship program participants can qualify for up to thirty-two (32) college credit hours
towards an Construction Business Management Applied Science Associates degree through the local community college district.
The ABC - South Texas Chapter offers task specific courses in door installation, green building awareness, print reading, project management and more. These courses target specific areas of training for those companies wishing to expand their employees skill sets and increase their company's ability to meet the changing needs of the construction industry.
The ABC - South Texas Chapter offers OSHA 10 and 30 hour courses. The 10 Hour course is designed for construction personnel in need of a basic understanding of occupational safety and health regulations for the construction industry. The 30 hour course is an expanded program designed for construction personnel who have completed the 10 Hour course and will be utilized as a foreman, safety supervisor/manager, project superintendent or any other position responsible for overseeing multiple employees.
The ABC - South Texas Chapter offers a certification course in case cardiac pulmonary resuscitation is necessary on the job. This course meets OSHA requirements and is valid for two years. Having a competently trained person on your jobsite can save lives.
The ABC - South Texas Chapter offers a certification course in first aid in case emergency aid or treatment is required to stabilize an injured person until regular medical services arrive or can be reached. This course meets OSHA requirements and is valid for two years.
