APPRENTICESHIP 
Each trade offered is physically and mentally challenging. Lifting, climbing, standing, balancing, bending, and carrying requires physical strength and endurance. Good math and verbal skills, the ability to visualize and make decisions will test your mental capabilities. Depending on the project an apprentice may work indoors or outdoors.

 

Carpentry: 

Curricula: Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4
Requires: cutting, shaping, fitting and assembling, etc.
Constructs: buildings, bridges and industrial plants, etc.
Materials: wood, metal, concrete, etc.
Tools: pneumatic nail fasteners, laser leveling, etc.
Job Demand: used on commercial and residential job sites


Curricula: Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4
Requires: installing, connecting, testing, etc.
Constructs: lighting homes, communication equipment, etc.
Materials: outlets, circuits, panel boards Tools: wire strippers, pipe benders, pliers, and hacksaws, etc.
Job Demand: used on commercial and residential job sites

Plumbing: * Requires Licensing with Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners

Curricula: Level 1  Level 2  Level 3  Level 4
Requires: cutting, installing, maintaining, repair
Constructs: water, disposal, and drainage/gas systems, etc.
Materials: copper, plastic, cast iron, and steel, etc.
Tools: gas torch, pipe bender and augers, etc.
Job Demand: used on commercial and residential job sites

Sheet Metal:

Curricula: Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4
Requires: cutting, fitting, installing, welding, etc.
Constructs: ductwork, downspouts, skylights and siding, etc.
Materials: sheet metal, plastic, fiberglass, etc.
Tools: drills, hammers, welding rods, shears, etc.
Job Demand: used on commercial and residential job sites
