OSHA 
OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training Program

The 10-Hour program provides instruction on health topics and construction industry safety. Students receive a 10 Hour OSHA completion card. The course focuses on the requirements found in the OSHA regulations. This course includes power point presentations, lecture, examples of actual violations, and in depth discussion of the requirements for OSHA regulations covering topics such as:

 

  • Introduction to OSHA
  • OSHA Focus Four Hazards including:
    • Fall Protection
    • Electrical
    • Struck By
    • Caught In/Between
  • Personal Protective & Live Saving Equipment
  • Health Hazards in Construction including:
    • Hazard Communication
    • Silica
  • Stairways and Ladders

     

     
Additional Topics May Include:

 

  • Subpart H - Materials Handling, Storage, Use & Disposal
  • Subpart I - Tools - Hand & Power
  • Subpart L - Scaffolds
  • Subpart N - Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators & Conveyors
  • Subpart P - Excavations

     

Any OSHA Construction Standard or Policy
may be substituted as an elective topic.
Texts and written materials provided as needed at no additional fee.

 




OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training Program

The 30-Hour more in depth course is geared to general contractors as prime contractors and supervisory on-site personnel. Students receive an OSHA 30 Hour completion card. This course utilizes power point presentations, lecture, examples of actual violations, and in depth discussions of the requirements for OSHA regulations covering topics such as:

 

  • Introduction to OSHA
  • Subpart M - Fall Protection:
    • Floors
    • Platforms
    • Roofs, etc.  
  • Subpart K - Electrical Safety 1 & 2
    • Overhead Power Lines
    • Power Tools & Cords
    • Temporary Wiring
    • Grounding, etc.  
  • Struck by:
    • Falling Objects
    • Trucks
    • Cranes, etc.
    • Construction Masonry Walls, etc. 
  • Caught In/Between:
    • Trench Hazards
    • Unguarded Machinery
    • Equipment, etc.  
  • Subpart E - Personal Protection Equipment
  • Hazcom
  • Subpart X - Stairways & Ladders
