This groups equips members with the necessary education and training to help them perform their work safely, efficiently, productively, and cost effectively. They host monthly luncheons to provide the members with important information on specific safety topics. OSHA regularly attends the monthly committee meeting – a great way to establish lines of communication, get questions answered, and discuss areas of mutual concern/interest.

This committee meets weekly or bi-weekly for one hour planning sessions in the weeks preceding each tournament.

This committee organizes the annual Fishing Tournament in Rockport, TX.
The committee meets on a weekly or bi-weekly basis in the two months preceding the Fishing Tournament for one hour sessions.

Plan and execute the annual Sporting Clay Shoot. This event is an ABC - South Texas tradition and always proves to be a great time. This committee will meet several times in the months leading up the event. Responsibilities include organizing teams and sponsors; determining prizes, raffles and giveaways; and planning food and beverages. We are currently in need of 6-7 active committee members.
This committee meets for one hour weekly two months prior to the Sporting Clay Shoot.

Establish lines of communication and relationships between ABC - South Texas Chapter and the various local, state, and national elected officials to discuss issues of interest and concern to the construction industry; work with other business organizations to address issues of common interest; seek to have individuals supportive of ABC´s philosophy elected or appointed to office, boards or commissions. Review local legislation, rules, regulations, ordinances, and/or measures, and recommend chapter position and/or recommended amendments/changes for the board´s consideration; draft legislation addressing issues or needs of the construction industry, serve as a chapter resource on legislative and regulatory matters.
This committee meets once a month and any time we have a political candidate come in to speak to our members.

The Future Leaders Task Force was developed to help mentor and educate the next generation of leaders in the construction industry. This group consists of construction professionals ranging from their early 20's to 40's. The Future Leaders Task Force meets on a monthly basis at the ABC office for hourly sessions. They also liase with the ABC UTSA Student Chapter and host mixers on a regular basis to introduce new members and network.
The Future Leaders have also assumed responsibility for planning and hosting our annual Chili Cook-Off and Gun Give Away.
