Labor Tech Remediation Division

Job Title: Labor/ Technician

DUTIES:
  • Report any unsafe conditions/acts.
  • Be able to lift over 40 lbs continuously.
  • Be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Be able to work at heights. 
  • Participate in daily health and safety meetings.
  • Must be able to travel out of town.
  • Must be able to work on and/or near water.
  • Perform construction task to include the following: hand digging, building forms, installation of piping (PVC/HDPE), hand demolition, and other construction activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
             Must be able to pass a Drug Test, Fit Test (full and half face respirator), Physical, Background check and MVR

Experience Required:
        Labor/Technician Experience – 1 Year Minimum Experience

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Required:
  • Valid Driver's License (for state of employment) - Class A, CDL a plus (air brakes not necessary)
  • Excellent driving record required
  • 40-Hour HazWhoper is a plus
  • TWIC-Transportation Worker Identification Card is a plus

  • Report any unsafe conditions.
  • Be able to operator efficiently on heavy equipment to include: excavator, wheel loaders, backhoes, dozer, track loaders, and off road trucks.
  • Be able to lift over 40-lbs continuously.
  • Be able to work in confined space.
  • Must be able to work on and/or near water.
  • Participate in daily health and safety meetings.
  • Must be able to travel out of town.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed.

Electrician

Job Title: Electrician

Communicates professionally with customers and reports any customer issues / complaints to appropriate internal contacts. Provides distinguishably different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the general public and customers. Exhibits a positive attitude towards company, customer and customer goals.
Daily work will involve heavy industrial lifting, lifting waist high, gripping with hands, moving at a brisk consistent pace, and occasional bending. This position will also be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously serving customers.

Duties  (primary duties but are not limited to):

  • Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
  • Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  • Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques.
  • Plans electrical secondary system additions or modifications.
  • May perform work of lower level electricians.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Reads, employs, and updates electrical panel schedules.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Knowledge of secondary electrical systems including planning additions or modifications on secondary circuits.
  • Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace, and test 1000 volt and below electrical circuits, equipment and appliances.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical controls, industrial motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers for secondary systems 1000 volt and below.
  • Ability to lead and train staff 
  • Ability to read commercial electrical blueprints and apply NEC through the full range of commercial and industrial maintenance and construction work.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Ability to install and maintain motors, welding equipment, lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and transformers as appropriate to the position.
  • Ability to isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment.
Distinguishing Characteristics:

Position requires: a) Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in secondary (1000 volts) circuits and systems including cutouts, switchgears and transformers; b) Isolating faults in 1000 voltage distribution system and replacing cable runs; c) Operating all 1000 voltage controls and switchgears including repairing and replacing those; d) Leading, guiding and/or training other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques.


Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises. 
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Must be able to pass a Background check and MVR
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance
  • 4 years of experience 
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism

Heavy Equipment Driver for Specialized Trucking

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Driver- Class A CDL

The Heavy Equipment Driver must communicate professionally with customers and must report any customer issues / complaints to appropriate internal contacts. Must exhibit a positive attitude.

DUTIES:
  • Complete and maintain daily truck logs, accurately and completely
  • Report any unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure entire vehicle is clean and meets professional standards, such as DOT   inspections.
  • Conduct daily post-trip vehicle inspection as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Maintain vehicles to ensure safe conditions; includes daily inspections of tires, lights, signals, glass, etc. Vehicle fluids and tire air pressures must be checked and serviced daily.
  • Learn and understand equipment thoroughly to ensure safe operations. 
  • Understand and comply with DOT Federal Motor Carrier regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
               Must be able to pass a Drug Test and MVR

Experience Required:
        Professional Driving Experience – 1 Year Experience

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Required:
  • Valid Driver's License (for state of employment) - Class A, CDL
  • Excellent driving record required
