Responsibilities:
Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Laredo, TX team for the duration of the current project.  The position is based out of our Birmingham, AL office in the federal projects division. 
 
 
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Draft project business plans for review with Project Manager.
• Solicit, review, and scope subcontractor and vendor bids, quotations, and related contract specification sections.
• Administer subcontracts for area of responsibility (payments, insurance, bond, safety, haz-com, etc.)
• Review and understand contract documents (plan and specifications).
• Assist with project start up, including obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization.
• Lead responsibility for project document management and project controls.
• Assist in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedule.
• Assist in development of project quality control plan implementation and compliance with contract requirements.
• Lead subcontractor start up meetings.
• Manage complete submittal process, including the following: obtain submittals; review submittals for compliance with contract documents; upon approval, manage submittal and procurement with subcontractors/vendors; track submittals with procurement schedule; develop complete submittal log.
• Manage a portion of project scope, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and/or electrical.
• Lead and facilitate project coordination meetings (MEP, skin, site utility/logistics, phasing plan, etc).
• Monitor and manage site safety compliance with jobsite specific safety plan. Conduct safety surveys.
• Create and manage tracking logs, including concrete, rebar, and stone.
• Meet with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ’s) to understand inspection and compliance requirements.
• Utilize software pertaining to project (P6, Prolog, BIM, punch list software, etc).
• Enter and update information in project management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, and RFI’s).
• Mange LEED requirements, compliance, and documentation when applicable.
• Coordinate owner furnished items with project scope of work.
• Write meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
• Resolve daily problems and expedite materials in conjunction with field supervision.
• Support the project manager and project team with budgeting/actual committed report/labor report.
• Provide accurate cost projections for area of responsibility.
• Review and code invoices with project actual committed report.
• Manage punch list and work with subcontractors to execute the punch list in accordance with project schedule.
• Conduct owner training.
• Manage project closeout (closeout documents, final job report, and final accounting).
 
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, or related field
• 1-5 years' experience in project management or related field
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written communication

JOB SUMMARY:  Processes requests for quantity take-offs from project detailed drawings.  Reviews specifications for understanding and makes interpretations of information in the specifications to avoid ambiguities.  Produces take-off reports that summarize project information and details and are used to form the basis of project estimates.  Tracks assigned work via a database of work that is either pending or completed. Keeps take-off program current by ensuring pricing and labor tables reflect present industry standards.  Works under limited guidance with occasional supervision and reports to the Estimating Manager or Senior Take-off Estimator.   Performs ancillary duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Position Specific Responsibilities
1. Produces quantity take-offs using proscribed forms, industry recognized techniques and TD standardized processes contained in the Construction Process Manual. 
2. Communicates with internal customers concerning issues with project specifications, project scope, reports, value engineering possibilities, timelines or other items pertaining to a bid.
3. Reviews project plans and specifications for complete understanding of project scope and to conduct quantity take-offs.   
4. Assists engineering function by finishing incomplete designs. 
5. Generates take-off reports for estimators.  
6. Processes jobs within the department database for tracking purposes.
7. Places generated reports in archives so they may be accesses and used by various customers.
8. Communicates all project issues up and down the management chain in a timely manner. 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

BEHAVIORAL:   Is a self-starter, needs only general guidance to know and understand expectations, shares technical expertise and experience to other Partners.  Is mature and has a good attitude and work ethic. Shows good professional appearance.  Performs as a self-managed individual.   

EXPERIENCE:  
1. Three (3) years in mechanical contracting working as a tradesman or similar function.
2. Experience trade practices to understand what is included in a take-off.

 JOB SKILLS AND EDUCATION:   
1. Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints. 
2. Ability to solve complex multiple faceted problems using various problem-solving techniques 
3. Good written and oral communications skills.
4. Able to interpret contractual documents, plans, specifications
5. Ability to understand fundamental engineering principles to complete project designs.   
6. Proficiency with computerized take-off program/software.
7. Proficient in using Microsoft office suite
8. Minimum of high school degree or equivalent.

1. Normally works in an office setting, but may walk the construction worksite as needed for job performance.

TDIndustries is currently seeking a Service Sales Manager. 
Develops, manages and motivates services sales account managers to achieve annual sales, revenue and gross margin business unit goals. Analyzes current market conditions and identifies trends that can help develop the annual strategic sales plan to increase market share and increase company revenues. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops strategic sales plan to foster growth and drive sale.

3. Assists the operations team in project planning to ensure gross margin goals are attained.
4. Conducts analysis and passes on market information and trends to account managers so they have the most current and complete data available.
5. Develops and executes service team annual plans that support and align with business unit and company strategic plans.

7. Conducts follow-up on billing issues that have been escalated for resolution.
8. Markets service products and capabilities with clients at events in a social environment.
9. Attends industry and association events to further enhance business relationships within the industry.

 COACHING AND TRAINING:
1. Conducts annual self-evaluation, supervisor evaluation, training review and goal setting.  Evaluation and goal setting should be conducted semi-annually during APPLE review meetings.
2. By example, fosters and develops improvements and adherence to service functional processes and procedures.
3. Continues education through industry events to stay current with changes and enhance personal knowledge and capabilities.

SUPERVISORY:

We currently seek a Lead BIM Coordinator professional who is ready to hit the ground running and join our growing Construction team! Responsible for the overall coordination process and its progress on assigned project(s).  Acts as the primary contact for coordinating drawings, collaborating with other trades and working closely with assigned Project Managers, construction supervision, field personnel, vendors and design engineers.  Operates all computer-aided design drafting (CADD) systems and peripheral equipment, making maximum usage of advanced software capabilities and exercises expert skill in the use of AutoCAD and various other CADD programs to develop drawings.  Normally performs trade coordination.  Reports to BIM/Coordination Manager.  Performs other duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Generates construction and fabrication drawings using CADD equipment and peripherals for a variety of large complex commercial and industrial construction projects.  
•Reviews construction drawings for apparent conflicts with architectural and structural contract documents and to ensure compliance with local code requirements. All issues identified during these reviews are brought to the attention of project management for clarification and resolution through the Request for Information (RFI) process.  
•Reviews equipment submittal documents for accuracy and completeness.  
•Coordinates draft construction drawings with other trades to ensure routings and clearances are understood and no obstructions exist.  
•Per forms site surveys and field measurement work as needed to support the conceptual and design drawing effort.
•Provides completed complex construction drawings to the shop for parts manufactured and to the job site management to use in construction and installation of material and equipment.  
•Coordinates overall schedules with department manager, project managers, shop   supervision, and field supervision.
•Sets overall trade coordination schedules and drawing logs according to project schedules.  
•Reviews engineering and contract documents and coordinates the architectural and structural contract documents with other members of the project team.   
•Interprets final disposition on various discrepancies and conflicts within the contract documents and approves Requests for Information (RFI’s) and Coordination Change Orders (CCO’s) for delivery to project managers.  
•Monitors work in progress and reviews completed work to ensure compliance with department standards and ensures a high standard of drawing quality.        
•Monitors cost and schedule as the various projects progress in order to keep the coordination effort as closely aligned with the project estimate as possible.  
•Generates construction and fabrication drawings as required by project.    
•Identifies all detailing work required or requested for the project which is outside of the baseline scope of work on the project.
•Responsible for document control during the detailing process and arranges for outside reproduction services. 
•Maintains appropriate logs pertaining to drawing work such as RFI’s, transmittals, and drawings.  
•Makes final checks and reviews for trade drawings prior to fabrication release.  
•Provides onsite support for field personnel, when needed, and interfaces with other team leaders, the group manager, process managers, project managers, the shop fabrication managers and field supervisors. 
•Monitors trade metrics to determine trade productivity and quality of output.  

EXPERIENCE:  
•Ten (10) years HVAC and plumbing experience, minimum.
•Five (5) years’ experience in trades in field installation or shop fabrication desired and could be a discriminator between candidates.
•Must have knowledge of current industry practices with regard to fabrication and installation of various duct, piping or plumbing systems.
•Position requires detailed knowledge of building, mechanical and plumbing codes and industry standards such as SMACNA, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, ASI, etc., as they apply to each trade.

JOB SKILLS AND EDUCATION:   
•Advanced computer skills.
•College degree in appropriate field.  Some college equivalency may be given for experience above minimum requirements.
•Familiarity with AutoCad and third party duct and piping programs.
•Advanced expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and email systems.

TDIndustries is currently seeking a Superintendent for our San Antonio, TX location.  This candidate will supervises multiple jobs.  Schedules, coordinates and supervises craft employee activity.  Usually involves supervising one or more trade groups (plumbers, sheet metal workers, pipe fitters, instruments and start‑up).
Performs other job and Superintendent related duties as required.  May report to either a Business Unit Manager or Production Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:

1.   Ensures safety rules, policies, awareness and practices are followed and are the number 1 priority at the construction job site.

2.    Monitors craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and insure
corrective measures are implemented.

3.     Eliminates construction and job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and
their severity.

4.     Supervises Job Superintendents and/or craft activities that includes determining method of
construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, work schedules and documenting actual hours worked.

5.     Periodically or on critical work packages, reviews material take‑off's and estimate sheet, layout
appropriate systems and make isometric and schematic sketches from blueprints, specifications, submittals and job orders.

6.     Demonstrates through performance a personal drive to achieve project and business unit expected
results.

7.     Periodically inspects work in progress and completed work to insure conformance to specifications.

8.     Periodically confirms earned value of work and correctness of Forecasted Percent Completions.

9.     Understands and is a strict adherent to all construction processes designed to help complete
projects safely, with a high standard of quality with expected productivity.  Understands and practices Lean principles (pull planning, six-week look ahead, value mapping, constraint logs, etc.).

10. Coordinates assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments or other contractors.

11. Maintains liaison with engineering, estimating and planning teams to insure work complies with
drawings, specifications and schedule.

12. Ensures appropriate team members are aware of all contract key terms, conditions, scope, inclusions and exclusions.

13. Assists in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, required
manpower, etc.).

14. Serves as the final trade technical expert on items/issues that are elevated from the field.

15. Maintains liaison with other departments, (i.e., Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering, etc.) to
insure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.

16. Practices effective subcontractor and supplier management.

17.   Advises senior level supervision and project management of potential problems, work
interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. Assists in circumventing/resolving such problems as require

Supervisory/Management

1.     Ensures that craft time cards are completed to accurately reflect hours worked.

2.     Reviews foreman 1-week planners and prepares the 6-week planner for each project assigned to them.

3.     Conducts timely, complete and meaningful APPLEs for assigned or supervised Partners

4.     Provides leadership and influences issues affecting his/her chosen trade.

Duties  (primary duties but are not limited to):

- Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
- Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
- Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
