Apprenticeship Open Enrollment begins June 1, 2010 until August 31, 2010
Apprenticeship is about building careers. If you are interested in becoming a journeyman carpenter, electrician, electronic systems technician, plubmer or sheet metal worker then apprenticeship is the way to go. You work during the day and go to school one to two nights a week during the school year from September to June. Essentially you are earning while you learn. The ABC South Texas Apprenticeship Program has an articulation agreement with St. Phillips College allowing apprentices that complete the full program to earn up to 34 college credits towards a Construction Business Management Applied Science Associates Degree. Obtaining the necessary skills to climb the ladder of success within the construction industry means you can become an estimator, superintendent or project manager, and even an owner.
